Audubon Society of Portland Bird Sanctuary is a 4.3 mile out and back trail located near Portland, Oregon that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking and nature trips.
the directions on here are stupid. gotta walk through neighborhoods. to walk from where it leads you said it would be 30 minutes

This is a great little trail right within the city. The Jay Trail is a favorite of mine. There is a pond with lots of newts and turtles earlier in the season but it does tend to dry up a bit as summer progresses. Go early to avoid the crowds but if you can't do that, you may catch the falcon handler walking around on the weekends. The kids will enjoying seeing a falcon up close and the adults will enjoy all the information that the handler shares on this wonderful bird of prey. And no trip to the Audubon Society is complete without visiting the birds in the care center.
