Jay Trail is a 1.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Portland, Oregon that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round.
This is an easy, family-friendly loop around the Audobon Bird Sanctuary in/near Forest Park. Early spring is a fine time to visit, though the trail will be muddy in spots. The staff at the sanctuary are very friendly and happy to introduce you to several of their rescue birds which are now resident. Entry is free, though they welcome donations.
