10 minutes from Downtown Tulsa, Turkey Mountain has two excellent hiking trails, with short interconnecting trails between them. The yellow trails is on the east side of the mountain and is 4 miles long, while the pink trail (yes) is on the western side and is 6 miles long. Both have ample ascents.
Very easy trail, lots of variety of plants to look at and occasionally run in with snakes. Overall a pretty good hike for friends wanting to get away from the city for a few hours.
The trails are not really suited for mountain biking. They need some grooming. Trails are good for hiking though.
It is alright, kinda weak sauce.
I hiked this one this morning and it was nice. It took me an hour and 50 minutes. Not too challenging, but more than just a walk in the park. Pretty river views too.
I always forget how pretty is up there.
Great variety of loops with a beautiful view! Overall pretty mild with occasional steep terrain! Yellow was not very well marked.
Great morning stroll. Nice terrain changes.
It's a nice scenic getaway from Tulsa city life I suppose. I can appreciate it for what it is. Might want to go early or go during the week to avoid hoards of people. It seemed more busy and chaotic toward the front entrance where there's a park area. Was a little quieter back on the trails.
My family's favorite hiking spot! The pink trail is mine and my boyfriend's favorite trail. We like to do some night hiking out here as well. Our daughters have a blast and even love the yellow trail! We're hoping to do some biking out there soon too!
First time on the trail in a year. New to Tulsa and new to the trail. was a good workout. Look forward to doing it again.
Great day hike. Yellow trail was 4 miles and took me about 3 hours to do with a toddler. Gorgeous views and a great variety of different terrains.
Refuge from the city where you can get away, on weekends not so much, from so many people, hikers and MTB'ers. Recommend going during a weekday if possible. Cross the road South for more trails that are not Turkey Mountain. Yeah, I disclosed that, but most have already found it.
Turkey Mountain Yellow trail, nice hike close to town, larger area than it looks.
