Towpath Trail is a 5.5 mile point-to-point trail located near Massillon, Ohio and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, horses, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
(5 miles) The northern end of this section of trail has things to recommend it like the embankment along Rt.21 and the Massilon Waste Water Treatment Plant, but the southern end has wetland environs and seclusion. Midway on the trail, when it crosses Warmington Rd. is John Glenn Grove, a pleasant and wooded area that has been reclaimed from a nearby strip mine. It's a shame that the stream still suffers from acid mine drainage but it's not as bad as I'm sure it once was.
GORGEOUS forested, marshy trail.
Very easy trail for bikes. Part of the Ohio and Erie Towpath system that extends from Zoar to Cleveland. Ar the Lake Street trail head, there is a great stop with a deli and a bike shop.
Awesome trail. Taking it again this summer
Good easy trail
