I hiked the Gorge Trail today. Fall is upon us and it was a nice hike. Here is a short video I made:
I have been to Sharon Woods numerous times and hiked all of the trails multiple times. This is my favorite park in the Great Parks of Hamilton County.
More asphalt then trails but very well maintained. Lots of areas that are shaded. There is a shirt trail that passes the falls and follows the creek. Very peaceful. I don't quite agree with the distance they post - it's approx 6 miles on the actual trails. The other 2.2 is really the golf cart paths on the golf course.
good view and easy walking around lake for 3 miles
great addition to the Sharon loop.
very nice trail. Well maintained and easy to navigate. popular in the mornings with runners, I passed a dozen over the 4.5 miles. nearly all paved with about .75 on packed gravel.
Nice place to walk with my dog
Decent trail, wear your sandals or tennis shoes. Has a work out circuit, which is neat. You are barely in the woods, walk past several homes and cars passing by.
Mostly paved, might be better for bikes and strollers. Don't take your stroller down the gorge trail.
Not really our bag, you aren't really in the woods. It's a nice park though. Expect to see photographers doing family photo shoots.
Great trail most of which is paved but add the gorge trail for some great views and extra steps. Bring your dog along as they will enjoy the easy walk.
Great short hike, with creek access and fossil hunting. Has a couple waterfalls too! You can take the trail from the lower part of Sharon Woods up to the lake and boathouse.
