I liked the trail itself. I will most likely not do this one again. To close to roads for me. I like it when I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere more.
Ran this last week. Great trail and easy to follow, but be ready for the hills!
I ran this trail for the first time this morning. I will definitely be going back.
Did this one right after wetmore bridal trail. Even more hilly than that one, but a very enjoyable hike. Some road noise heard, but very minor. To add another 2.5 miles you can keep looping around and do the cross country trail. This really is a beautiful and interesting walk. But seriously, be ready frontier hills!
Great trail. This entry actually counts both the Salt Run Trail and the Lake Trail (also listed separately as Kendall Lake Loop) together. You can do just one or the other, if you want. I did both and it came in right at about 5 miles total, 3 and some change for Salt Run and 1 and some change for the Lake trail. A lot of good elevation change on Salt Run, but also some mostly level sections on which to catch your breath. I had a great time.
There is also a shortcut about halfway through if you want to do a shorter Salt Run loop.
This trail is beautiful. The trail head is off of Lake Trail which is a phenomenal view of Kendall Lake. There were a few muddy spots along the way as it did rain yesterday.
Great trail for run or hike.. Some inclines.. The lower areas have standing water.. I would avoid if you have a hard rain within the last day or so..
my favorite go to hike
Challenging for trail running
Very pretty trail.
Didn't pass anybody on the salt run trail at all. Fantastic trail to make you feel remote.
Nice elevation change, but very close to the road.
Nice hike! Lots of roots so watch your step. Kind of hilly too.
A little muddy, expected for this time of year. Good trail but a lot of traffic noise from roads and rails nearby. Watch out for the loose support logs as you ascend and descend parts of the trail.
Great views and a lot of elevation change. Also there is a few trails that you can either extend your hike or shorten it! Had a lot of fun!
awesome trail once you get to it. alot of elevation change.
