Nice out of the way trail. The trail is clearly marked with some nice elevations on the two side loops. The first loop to Jacobs Ladder offers some nice views that make it worth the effort.
A bit of a local secret. The trail was very serene and provided a great view of the valley from the overlook. This is a great trail to take a few friends and family and enjoy nature and relax. Will go again.
I discovered this little gem while I was on my way home from another hike. It is an Ohio Nature Preserve. You need to park in the designated parking spot. There is a driveway you walk up (about .5 miles) before you actually get to the preserve but there is not parking at the other end of the driveway. The trail without the loops is fairly easy but you do not get to see any real views unless you do the loops. The loop furthest north takes you to a cliff/cave. There is a staircase going down to the bottom so you can get a good view. Both loops have some steep loops. The southerly loop has one climb called climbing Jacobs Ladder. It is not for the faint of heart but is worth the climb. The top holds a wonderful view of the entire valley. Enjoy.
