Nice trail with some interesting pieces of history along the way. Not a difficult trail per se, but it will definitely let you know if you are out of shape!
A nice easy mostly wooded trail just off the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
Nice trail. Stone Quarry is interesting. The rest is ok.
Nice trail connected to the Hike & Bike!
Hilly, beautiful view of locks, towpath
Really enjoyed this from the large grinding stones along the path to the old quarry to ability to extend the hike on the Tow Path!
Interesting hike, you can learn how locks were made from many years ago
Trail didn't seem to be marked correctly in a number of spots. We took two wrong turns, following the trail signs. We were disappointed by the short length, lack of change in elevation, and there really wasn't much to see once we got to the quarry.
Very easy hike, very nice site, and if its not enough for you, there is a connection to the towpath trail and from that other nice trails. It gets a solid five stars because.. And this deserve all caps...I SAW A BALD EAGLE on this trail.
A wonderful flat trail to enjoy the day. Lots of water and education about the mills. Def a recommendation for a relaxing day.
This is a nice little trail, located off the tow path near Peninsula. It's a good distance down the towpath, which makes it one of those out-of-the-way trails that are nice and quiet even on the nicest days. Weathered millstones and the quarry wall itself lend to the natural beauty of the place. Great hike!
