Triple Falls Trail is a 2.3 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Pisgah Forest, NC that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from March until October. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
Beatiful waterfalls, wooded trail. At the parking lot, cross the bridge and follow the clearly marked trail upstream and along the rivers edge. At about a third of one mile is the very scenic Triple Falls There is a trail that takes you to the middle of the 3 step falls. Extreme caution should be used in this area as well as any other trail near waterfalls in DuPont State Forest. At about the 1 mile mark the trail either continues to follow the river or veers right up the hill. For this hike stay left and continue to follow the river. This trail will bring you to the base of High Falls. Rock-hop across the base of the falls and proceed up the trail to the over-look for nice views. Proceed west and then turn left on the gravel road which crosses the top of the falls under a covered bridge. After a short distance turn left and follow the trail north along a nicely wooded trail until it ends at a large parking area for horse trailers. Cross the highway and take the Holly Trail to Hooker Falls: L to parking.
Easy trail and gorgeous water falls
Enjoyable hike.... can't wait to return.
The falls were beautiful, ample swimming. Very crowded! Took 3 kids and a dog and it was a bit much having to climb up to the top. Kid carrier definitely recommended with all of the traffic. Would go again.
I love to hike the loop between Triple Falls and High Falls. Always beautiful, and very doable 50minute hike. I like to go up to the covered bridge, easy and pleasant hike. DuPont Forest is always well maintained, and parking is free. There are picnic tables located at both falls. Since word got out that Hunger Games was filmed at Bridle Veil Falls in DuPont, I hear it is much busier. Parking easy if you start before 11:00.
Outstanding. We hiked three connected trails. Started at the visitors center and hiked Three Falls, High Falls and Hooker Falls. About 6M. All Falls were fantastic. We lie in the area now and will return prepared to enjoy the water. Visitors center will recommend best for your level. Paths were lovely and wide. Elevation changes significant but not like rock climbing. Really lovely.
Beautiful falls hike is easy enough for all skill levels.
Short hike with a great reward.
2 waterfalls on this trail. a little further to see highfalls.
Hike was ok, extremely busy on the weekends. As in hundreds of people. But fun to swim in the pools.
Me, my 9 and 10 year old and dog had a great hike. just a few steep places but not bad. trails are well marked, go early opens at 5 am to get a good parking spot. We started at 830 and took our time, spent about 3 hours there.
Loved this hike - super easy with 3 kids and 2 Dogs...
For the most part this is a pretty easy trail to hike, just a few steeper hills to navigate. The waterfalls along this specific trail are great. Nice to be able to see multiple falls on the same trail. Would recommend this trail to everyone.
Beautiful! One hike, 3 amazing waterfalls!
This was our first trip to Triple Falls! But we will be coming back. There was enough adventure for the teenage boys and enough quiet waters for the elementary girls in our family! There were lots of people there on Father's Day, but it didn't seem crowded.
