This trail is a good access trail for the Tanawa / MST, and loops around a pond that is always dry. I hiked it, and there is no pond anymore- its a dry grassland. The Actual Tanawa trail is very nice, with rolling meadows, and great views of Grandfather mountain and Wilson Creek Valley.
