The trail starts opposite the eastern end of the Looking Glass Rock Overlook at mile 417.0. Take a left at the junction with the Mountains-To-Sea Trail. It is a short and beautiful trail through the woods down to a very pretty waterfall with a couple small pools. I would like to come back with the family in the summer to see if I can convince them to go swimming.
The falls and pools are the highlight of the hike and would be fun with kids.
Beautiful place to hike
Nice short trail mostly downhill to the falls. Has a few different swimming holes in different areas but water is COLD.
Great trail, we go here all the time! Fairly easy we take my 4 yo cousin with us. Bring your bathing suite!
Easy trail, well maintained. Good for kids. Beautiful falls with several pools. Was pretty busy when we arrived but cleared out closer to sunset.
I thought it was a really good hike. Trail is well maintained. Leads to a nice waterfall and two smaller pools at the bottom. There's a bridge over the pools and a great view of the falls.
Nice short trail, crowded in afternoon
Great trail for kids! Beautifully maintained & only a half a mile to a pristine swimming hole! Park at the looking glass over look area. Walk across the parkway to the trailhead.... The water will be cold, but it's well worth it!
Beautiful! At the end of your hike take a plunge into the cold mountain water!
Love this short trail down to the falls! Was a nice and refreshing hour break from driving on the Blue Ridge.
Great day hike
Feels like where forest nymphs live. It can definitely get busy depending on the time of day, but it's so gorgeous regardless of the crowd.
Great trail! Plus, you get to visit the dragon tree!
This a favorite spot for me. It is hugely popular, but when I can be there alone, I find it revives my spirit deeply!
Awesome trail. Not to long or steep. Waterfall was gorgeous. Would do it again.
