Small loop off the River Trail The Schoolkids Trail, a small loop off the River Trail, leads to the site of a cable bridge that provided a passage across the Rocky River in the 1920s for people visiting neighbors and children walking to school.
It's a sort of small loop. My small child was easily able to walk around the entire thing. you can get right down to the river, which is nice. Im posting this in August and the bugs are definitely overwhelming right now though!
Quick trail worth a visit for the historical aspects and scene of the appropriately named Rocky River. Cable bridge remnants made more interesting by the info provided by the Triangle Land Conservancy online pamphlet.
