Moore Cove Falls Trail is a 1.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Pisgah Forest, North Carolina that features a waterfall. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, birding, and scenic driving. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This is an easy and very kid friendly trail. The main feature here is Moore Cove Falls which is about 50ft high and pours over a rock overhang. A couple of sections tend to be muddy but it's easy to bypass the mud. This is a must see for families.
Short and sweet.
Great with small kids
Easy hike did it barefoot, can chill under the waterfall or climb up to the top for more of a challenge. Small waterfall.
easy hike to some nice waterfalls. Great in the spring and fall
Nice walk to a nice waterfall. All skill levels can complete this hike. Great hike for kids.
Nice even walk to the cove , very family friendly. There is a trail going to the top of the falls but would not recommend it, you have to scramble up.
Great for young kids. Took 3 under 6 and they were able to make it out and back. Parking right near the trail head. Well maintained, foot bridges make crossing small streams easier. Falls are not very big but you can get up close and personal by leaving the viewing area. Great way to cool off. Not much in the way of swimming. Great river to for kids to play in at trail head. 1 hr from Asheville.
Love this one! Great for out of town visitors and picnics!
Have done this hike many times. Is a very easy and relaxing hike to a beautiful waterfall at the end. Well worth the short 30-45 each way.
Waterfall had dried up a lot. maybe it was a drought?
Another great trail for kids! Gorgeous wonderful! Short and doable... Beautiful photo ops
Nice easy walk. Not a lot of water with this fall but still has some pretty aspects.
It's an easy hike to a waterfall that you can go behind or under. It was nothing spectacular.
Always a peaceful hike and depending on the season and weather, it feels like a new hike each time. If you go after there's been a lot of rain, you will appreciate the waterfall even more, although, the trail will be muddy in spots so bring a hiking stick.
We love it
Short trail but strenuous enough to make you sore the next day :) a gorgeous waterfall at the end and creeks along the way. One of my favorite trails in Pisgah!
