This is a Mecklenburg County Park. There is: Paved Trails , Picnic areas, Beach, Lake, Playground, Tennis Courts, Party facility. Across the road from the main entrance is a 1 mile dirt trail loop. See Jetton Park Hiking and Mtn Bike Trail. Paved, a little hilly. Along side Lake Norman.
Beautiful park! Great for jogging, road biking, and walking. Includes a playground, 8 tennis courts, and waterfront swings. Great view of Lake Norman.
Nice and shaded.
This is more of a walk than a hike. A lot of people were using the trail to walk/run on a weekday morning. It has some nice lake views. Walking the entire trail only takes about 25 mins! I think there is a $3 park entry fee, but if you go outside of park hours you can avoid it (I went at 8am).
Excellent trail for the first time experience. Lots of stumps, jumps and bumps. Had a little trouble finding my way out, but I followed the live music at the park pavilion.
Nice easy walk along the water's edge.
A great beginner ride or hike. A must do if you live close by. If you live far you may be disappointed, unless you incorporate it with a visit to the rest of this great lakefront park.
