We enjoyed this trail on Sunday! Hiked to lake Powhatan, even though it's more of a pond, it's beautiful and has some good fishing and this section below the lake is hatchery supported all the way down until you reach the arboretum where there is no fishing. You can make this hike as short or as long as you like. Heavily trafficked area but other than that we enjoyed it and will be going again soon!

This is a very nice, clear, graveled trail. Some gradual elevations. Very few people using it, perhaps because we went on a Thursday morning/afternoon. Enjoyed this with my Mastiff.

Very pretty forest views. I included this trail with my visit to the NC Arboretum.

Super convenient to Asheville in location. Heavily trafficked. Look for Biltmore in the distance when the trees are bare.

Beautiful place to go on a quick walk, run or hike by yourself, with friends and/or dogs. Transplant from California and this trail is one of my favorites in this area.

Trail is just south of Asheville, NC. Near the Blue Ridge Parkway and the NC Arboredum. Easy flat trail through the forest.
