Grindstone Trail is a 0.8 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Taylorsville, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. Directions from Winston-Salem, NC: Take US 52 north for 24 miles to the park entrance. It is clearly marked. Travel to the Family Campground which is the first road on the right after passing the park office. Take it to the end which is a loop and the trailhead is located on the eastern side of this camping loop, campsites 16 and 17.

Nice little trail in Alexander county.. Nice views on a clear day and a very quiet hike!

winding trail little climb but not bad. my 3 yr old daughter did it with no problems. plenty of rest areas if needed
