Governor's Creek Trail is a 5 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Cameron, NC that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from January until January.
This can be a fast track, and is about 7 miles long if you ride all sections (technically has 2 loops). The trail has good flow; there are a lot of up and down, but it never feels like you are climb extremely long hills. The trail winds through the woods, and there are quite a few roots throughout. There are a few areas that have rock gardens, and there are some tight corners spread all over as well. In addition, the trail is in the middle of nowhere, so be mindful when searching for it. Be careful on this trail if it is wet!
Awesome trail for beginner to intermediate skill level. They do have an optional difficult trail called "the ghost"...so they got something for everyone at Governor's Creek. Little to no sand, which is always good. Highly recommend! Enjoy!
Good hike. We had a great time. Strong stench of wildlife. Good times.
Beautiful; be sure to view the "healing waters". Pay attention for bikers and give right of way, the trails are narrow.
While directions will get you there, there are currently no signs at the road to mark the sight. Perhaps because it's on private property.
Nice clean and well marked trail on private property. Lots of fun with some ups and downs along with some twisty turns as you bump along over some roots. There are a couple of more difficult parts that have the option to bypass if you want.
Does anybody know if you can ride horses on any of the trails?
Amazing trail pretty technical but you can adjust with out pre planning your run easy drive watch out for the puddles after it rains some are deep holes
This trail really is great for it's winding paths and good jumps. Not forgetting the beautiful scenery. I recommend highly! It's also my favorite because it's close to home.
This is a good trail. It is very well maintained. The overview is pretty good summary, so get out there and check it out!
