Cherokee Area Waterfalls is located near Cherokee, North Carolina that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
This does not take you to a trail head. It takes you into the town of Cherokee. There are two great waterfalls in the area worth checking out. Mingo falls and also soco falls. They are both within 30 minutes of eachorher and about a 5 minute walk to each.
Trailhead is not where shown.
Soco and Mingo are great easy hikes. Quick "get out of the car" nice and shaded with a great view. You are able to touch the water as well!
Very nice hike, you have a few options for waterfalls. If you go a few miles into the reservation, you can hike to Mingo Falls. Very pretty falls, and my visit was very enjoyable. Second, if you head east on 19, you can visit Soco Falls. It is right off the road, but a bit more strenuous. Lastly, you can drive to Bryson City and visit the Deep Creek area. Many possibilities, but the waterfalls are great.
Mingo Falls, NC. Short little hike up some steps for this beautiful view. Very much worth it
