Zoo Cascade & Zoo Falls is a 2.4 mile out and back trail located near Rochester, New York that features a waterfall and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round.
You have to go through the zoo gates, so I feel it was a safe place for a hike. I wouldn't rate it a difficult hike by any means. The surrounding area has a paved sidewalk and places to park. this hiking trail is dirt, and there are some stairs to take down river side. A few stairs are broken, and the decked walkway over the marsh is grown over and not maintained. Areas surrounding are clean, and otherwise well maintained.
Nice trail for an evening hike
Nice little trail considering its location. Wish the hood rats picked up after themselves.
been hiking these trails since I was a kid... awesome
Beautiful walk and lovely falls. Too bad some people decided to leave garbage all over the place at the foot of the falls, though.
Parts of this trail are difficult if you choose to take the different paths down the gorge to the river. If you choose not to its a nice walk!
this trail is not difficult... not sure why its rated so.
This trail is right behind my house. Flat, easy trail. Waterfall and nice views of the river.
