A short, but demanding hike up to one of the better views of the Fulton Chain Lakes. Rocky Mountain may be a short hike, but the view will keep you there for hours! Just minutes from downtown Inlet, NY. The summit of Rocky Mountain overlooks 4th Lake of the Fulton Chain Lakes as well as the hamlet of Eagle Bay. This is one of the best views of the lake, as the summit is on the western side of the lake.
Great hike! Not long of a hike like it's brother Black Bear Mountain. The View is so much worth it. Beautiful view over all of Inlet
Fairly steep in a few spots. The view at the summit is spectacular.
Loved this! What an awesome reward at the top! Pretty steep, but not terribly difficult. Glad to see by looking at the attached GPS tracks that we're not the only ones who were confused as to what trail we were on. ;)
An easy hike trail for the family group reward you a beautiful view of the lake and Inlet town.
The black bear Mt is next door. You do have chance to meet a black bear because we did. Come with a bear ring to alarm them if you happen to approach them.
Opens up to a beautiful view at the top!
Awesome view over the lake! Nice trail to run/hike up
Stunning views from the top, well worth the climb up.
The kids loved it! U can get nice picture on top
fairly easy trail about 20 min to the summit with great views. trail is very worn and easy to follow.
Short fairly easy trail. Great view from the top. Good for all ages. No sign at trailhead and markers on trail ate sparse. Path is easy to see even without the markers.
I hiked Rocky and Black Bear in one day. Rocky is rather shorter, so decided to hike it after Black Bear. Great hike! Great view of 4th lake from the summit. 1 mile hike round-trip.
Wonderful first hike here in Adirondack for my two dogs and I.
Tough in the winter but great views at the top
