Orient Beach State Park is a 4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Southold, NY and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
This is not a hike. It's a bike or car ride, or a walk or run. There's a 5 mile in and out road. A pavilion, grills, beach. Lots of waterfowl, deer, turtles, osprey... I whole lot of stuff with easy access for families. Unfortunately the park got hit hard by Sandy. It just opened up again today. Lots of cedar trees and pine got burned up as well as lots of flood damage that has been cleaned up. Great spot for easy access fun
Good family oriented park. Easy walk. Beachfront & dunes. Good break from swimming. Can be crowded.
