fun little hike in the creek bed to the waterfall. with the drought there is very little water. a fellow hiker left behind some rope so assist in climbing a steep parts.
I brought my nieces here as our paddling boarding plans fell through. We walked the dry creek bed, as easy walk. More challenging was the 3 waterfalls we climbed up, two of them had some old ropes that we could use to scale up and down the waterfalls; we wouldn't have been able to make it up without them. We went in August, so there wasn't much water in the creek, but the waterfalls were beautiful. Wear sensible shoes, my niece's friend wore crocs, not a good idea.
We were putting this place off for a long time but very glad we finally stopped. Great for children, nice views, well groomed trail. Only thing missing is a few more trail signs. There are a lot of extra paths.
The trail is nice for someone who needs a cleared path and direction with an easy hike. Beware of all the poison ivy on the edge of the trails. Personally when hiking this trail i go down into the waterfalls because i want to be challenged. Going into the falls is dangerous and i don't suggest people to do it unless they are experienced hikers/climbers! Also be carful not to cross into the private property.
