This paddle down Fish Creek is a short trip with plenty of wildlife to be seen since it is so rarely traveled. Park in the parking area on Hayes Road just after you turn off Route 29, and launch your boats. The paddle down Fish Creek is relatively easy if the water level is high enough, shoot for early spring while the snow runoff is still present or after a rainstorm to make sure there is plenty of water in the creek. The take out is before you reach the hydroelectric plant in Victory Mills, it is a small NYSDEC parking area on Mennen Road, which is off of Route 32. Waypoints for the parking areas area included under the waypoints tab. If you paddle upstream from the launch you will get to see a small water fall and a pool that is great for fishing.
Had a great time, the water was flowing fast so we were able to sit back and enjoy the scenery. We saw a lot of birds and turtles along with enough fish to make me wish I brought my pole.
