Great views of Lake Ontario. It was a little muddy but it rained the last two days.
I've lived in upstate New York all life, and never appreciated the sheer beauty of Lake Ontario, until I hiked chimney bluffs.
Good hike. Very easy for the majority.
Nice area and easy hike
Hiked the beach out from the 2nd parking area then take the Bluffs trail back. Amazing sites!
Beautiful walk! The trail is easy and moderate in most places but it does get very close to the cliff edge so be cautious with little ones. my 6 and 4 year old boys did fine and loved the adventure!
Beautiful hike! Planning to have a picnic with us next time.
The Bluffs are a must.. Nice easy walk for a Sunday.. beautiful view from top of looking out. we can check this one off our list.. of day hiking trips..
Cold and very windy day, but we still wanted to get outside. Trails are easy to follow, the bluffs are other worldly. There was metered parking there, we didn't pay and were wondering if that doesn't start until Memorial day(?). We started with the Bluff trail, then took Drumlin trail to East-West trail. Next time hopefully it will be warmer and we will park at the end of East Bay Road and walk along the beach. Good footwear is a must, trails can be muddy and slippery. There was a map you can take from their info board as well.
Hiked the Bluff trail carrying a toddler on my back. We had so much fun. It did get quite muddy in some spots. I wouldn't recommend this trail with toddlers unless they are in a backpack carrier only because the trail is very close to the cliffs. Beautiful scenery!
We really enjoyed our time at this park. There is a picnic area with grills right off the parking lot where we had lunch before heading out on the trails. The trail is well maintained and elevated above the bluffs with great views throughout. At the end of the trail it brings you down to the bottom of the bluffs where you can walk along the lake back to the beginning. Loved the view from the top as well as from the bottom. We will definitely be coming back.
Well maintained trail! Beautiful views. Be careful of the wet clay - extremely slippery!
