Bare Hill Unique Area Trail is a 1.7 mile out and back trail located near Rushville, New York and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
This was my first hike here. There wasn't too much scenery but it was a nice walk. Would be a great place to bring a dog! Wear boots, it was a bit wet/muddy.
This hike is moderate to easy. The main trail does not loop, but I always walk through the woods and loop the trail myself. Not a lot to see, some obstructive views of Canandaigua Lake. There is a pond along the hike. Each Labor Day there is a bon-fire which is an Indian ritual. I enjoy this trail because it is close to home and I am able to let my dog run off leash.
