I hiked this with a friend the other day. At points challenging with rock scrambling. We left from the North Lake parking lot and headed towards Artist's Rock. North Point was gorgeous. As we were racing against the sunset we picked up the pace at a certain point and didn't side track to the Falls because a hiker on the trail mentioned that the falls were dry. We walked through the campsites and then along the lake to have a more scenic view than the road at the end. All in it was a little under 3 hours. You'll need more time if you're looking for a more leisurely pace.
Beautiful day. Lovely views. Such pleasant people we met along the way. Relaxing and fun
The views are absolutely spectacular. The hike itself is absolutely wonderful too-nice mix of uphill and flat. Just watch out it's very easy to get confused by the different trails.
Fun trail with great view at the top. Fun hike because of the variety of terrain and vegetation.
This was a nice trail. Artist rock had a beautiful view and Ashley Falls was very pretty.
Nice trail. Easy hike. Beautiful view at Artist's rock, Sunset rock, Newman's ledge and North point.
nice trail, great views.
We hiked to North Point at the end of Feb. This hike was easy to moderate difficulty with an occasional steep climb. Beautiful views of the Hudson Valley at the summit!
Great trail ! Somewhat difficult, rocky but great views! climbed 5-6 times love it !
I hiked up to North Point with my sister and grandson. There are two ways to go. Either via Artist Rock and Newmans Ledge from the North Lake parking lot or the way we went through Mary's Glen and had fun climbing up the pretty Ashley Falls. The trail has a few rocky cliffs but not too difficult. The view at North Point of North and South Lakes and surrounding mountains is awesome.
