Great day hike, No camping allowed. Great for fishing access and views around the creek. Great summer time cool down spot in the water s well.
love this trail, such a beautiful view
Nice trial - preferred angler access which takes you down to the creek. Don't care for heights which the upper trail has decent size drop offs, but nice views. More road noise on the upper path from the thruway.
The gorge was awesome in the summer months. There is a designed trail at the top of the gorge, but you can also walk along the water given the right levels. Saw my first bald eagle there! It's DEC run so everything seemed to be in good shape. All in all a great hike!
Do many great little hikes right in the back yard. Did this one solo this morning as it was a little chilly for the fam. The trail wad recently remarked by a local boy scout for his eagle scout project and it's great. Just follow the round blue blazes and you'll have a great hike.
Fun and fairly easy to follow the trail. Navigating the creek bed can be a tad tough in spots.
I was hoping for a well marked and cleared trail to run on and was sadly, disappointed. About a mile in you enter a wooded area, and the trail virtually disappears. I spent probably 1 - 2 minutes standing there looking around for the markers and eventually decided to head back fearing I'd get totally lost. It's unfortunate that they don't have large orange blazes on the trees as markers instead of very small maroon circles.
Great Walk along 18 Mile creek with views above the ridge. IT will meet up with the creek at a few spots along the way. We didn't make it to the end of the trail (only about 3.5 miles) Didn't see any waterfalls to that point. Trail is well traveled and easy to follow. Many people fishing near the parking area. Where we stopped at the creek we noticed some fish with no fisherman.
