Nice, easy hike. Steady moderate incline. Plenty of shade. Gives a good idea of how massive and beautiful the Sandia Mountains really are. Once is enough.
Hiked it barefoot up (mostly sandy to fine rocks, no really rough parts) down with sneakers.
Most hikers we encountered were with dog(s).
Heads up: My hiking partner (flatlander) found the hike challenging. She is fit but not used to this sort of incline and altitude.
On way to trailhead: Note the small herd of bison south side of tramway road near Sandia casino. Beautiful, awe inspiring.

I have taken both the Fletcher and Rincon Spur routes. Both have magnificent views but Rincon is spectacular.
