Glorieta Baldy is a 10 mile out and back trail located near Glorieta, NM and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from May until October.
Best follow directions from the Sierra Club's "Day Hikes in the Santa Fe Area" as the trailhead is actually over on FR175 and the Alltrails map is incomplete.
I hiked this as a kid. I remember it was a very difficult hike, but so worth it when I got to the top.
Nice trail! Make sure you hike starting from Glorieta Conference Center. You will pass some interesting features like an old mine, car and ghost town. The drive to baldy from Pecos is rough. Be careful!
Great trail but very steep & rocky near top. Views from ridge 1/2 way down spectacular.
