This area has the best fall foliage around. combined with other trails in the area you can hike to the top for great views.

The road can be rough depending on the moister through the summer, best time to go is the fall and you will see Golds, purples, Reds, and more, worth the hike, but be prepared for crowds

It's a long winding road to get there, but a fairly easy hike and if you go in the fall when the maples are crimson, you will see some of the most breathtaking views of fall color in all of New Mexico.
