Great Hike for visitors and locals alike. Easy drive from Denver. Easy short hike, and fantastic views. there is a great article about this site in the 5280 Magazine. See Link: http://www.5280.com/blogs/2012/10/23/outdoors-devils-head-hike

Did anyone mention to get there early? Not to bad if you get there late morning, just a lot of people, but i have found the early-morning hikers to be much friendlier and more willing to say "hi" and chat than the late-comers. Plus, the stairs (about 120 of them) get crowded; especially on weekends.

My wife and 9 month old daughter did this last weekend. Great hike, beautiful view and worth it! Get there early we started at 7am and had the trail to ourselves most of the way. Coming down around 10 was person after person, and the parking lot was packed. The Ranger opens the station lookout at around 9, its worth seeing and talking with him as well.

This is a great hike to take friends and family who are visiting from out of town. Great views from the top and very easy path up there. Do not go up there if there is a posibility of storms
