Overall great place for a hike. Off-season serenity. See photos.
Rocky spots took some careful stepping but a beautiful view of Shawnee Inn at the top. Nice workout with great views.
A lot of these trails are advanced. Very rocky.
Absolutely beautiful well worth it!
Definitely challenging but so rewarding. I suggest lots of tick protection, as you are hiking through some weeds and ferns through parts, but be on ALERT. It's rattlesnake and copperhead territory. Stay hydrated :]
Decent campground. We reserved late, were on a site with no tree cover. Campsites are quite large, so we weren't on top of neighboring sites. Access to the river and nearby hiking trails. We camped across from the playground, which my 5 year-old enjoyed.
