Was a little difficult finding the trail head. GPS directs you to private property. If you park at end of Jesus Valley Rd then walk in to old stage Rd dirt road you will see trail marker to the right a few 100 feet in. Was beautiful day lots of leaves and loose rock steep sections watch your footing, but so worth it. No one on the trail until I met a couple at summit over from Mt Major trail.

Visited both north and south peaks of Straightback while including Major. Once away from the Mt. Major trails I did not see a single other person until I reached the south peak.

Reached this summit on a loop hike across the interior Belknap Mtns. Not a soul around at the summit and did not see anyone on my entire 12 mile loop. The day encompassed amazing weather with nice foliage and comfortable weather. Some of the trails were mere footpaths which made for careful travel. Such a great hike for anyone who enjoys solitude!

mount straightback is incredible! so hidden and secluded compared to mount major! there was absolutely no one on the summit or the trail - i had the whole place to myself! although not as open as mount major, mount straightback has some beautiful views as well. i would highly recommend it!
