Stonehouse Pond is a 1.3 mile loop trail located near Barrington, New Hampshire. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking and walking.
The view is absolutely beautiful in the fall, but the trail is a little more tricky than we realized.
Incredible in the Fall!
nice short hike with beautiful view trail not well marked
Easy hike with a great view at the end.
The trail is easy, but as you reach the rock it gets a little steep. Best if kids walk around it. I would have given it a 4 for the view alone, but there were several dogs, none of them on leashes, that did not seem to like the company of hikers anywhere near them, and there was too much noise. I saw a turtle, fish, a loon, and a cool sunken row boat. Got some great photos. A quick, easy hike, and if you're a rock climber, this is also a great place to come
Fun with kids! Some steep(ish) parts for really young kids, but definitely doable.
Fun hike. Steeper than I thought and the view was great!
A very short hike with an incline toward the top. The view is beautiful for such a small hike in an area with few cliffs or (any) mountains. You can walk all the way around the pond very quickly, but it can be slippery on the way up and down.
Gorgeous little hidden gem! A stunning geographic feature you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere in the area! Storehouse pond is a very short hike, however, with a very short steep section that might challenge some.
Sweet little hike !
A short hike that we will return to. Coming from the west side of the road, the trail is well marked and an easy hike up to the cliff for a nice view of the pond. We didn't take the east side down because it was early in the season and the leaves were wet making for slippery walking and the trail was not marked at all.
I hiked this the other day with a good friend. It was a beautiful hike although it was not marked well. (Good thing my friend had been their before!) It is best to go to the top clockwise! Make sure you bring water with you, because it is definitely a hike!
Lovely spot but trails are not marked or mapped well, ended up going the hard way up the hill, still loved it regardless.
The trails need better marking, but otherwise ok.
This is better an as Stonehouse Pond.
nice place to enjoy walking or fly fishing.
