This preserve contains trees that reach diameters of 30 inches and have escaped logging for close to 200 years. It is home to 150-foot high white pines, hemlocks, and oak trees. Sheldrick Forest has nearly 4 miles of easy to moderate trails that you can explore. This Preserve is managed by The Nature Conservancy in New Hampshire, and is an excellent place for walking and observing wildlife. The original trail head on the map was wrong, after locating it online I gave it a second try. It's a nice wooded walk with clear and easy to follow trail markers. It's a well maintained easy trail with a few moderate sections. Maps are available at the trail head.

I was unable to get to the trail head, Fisk Hill Rd. is posted as private driveway about a 1/4 mile in.
