So many waterfalls! An easy, beautiful hike.
Nice mild trail. It had some steep parts but overall it wasn't bad. It has been dry is the falls weren't super. Pitcher falls is a must see! Small fall but nice.
This trail is very short (5-10 mins) to a nice little basin. It's not spectacular but for such a short walk it's nice. Maybe do it at the beginning of a day to give a little encouragement if you have a long hike ahead.
We took our kids (5, 8 and 12) to this s trail and it was perfect. The distance was also perfect. The water fall along the side was great. Amazing view of the lack at the top and you could also swim there. It was a good experienced. We all loved it.
My friend and I took my 4 & 6 year daughters along with her 7 year old son, and it was the perfect distance for them to start hiking (just moved up to this area). We came from the I-93 Southbound side, and there is a beautiful, crystal-clear swimming area (bathrooms for the little ones as well). After seeing the basin (which you cannot swim in), we kept walking down a trail where the sign said "Baby Flume" but had to turn around due to poor listening skills. The trail is handicapped-accessible (great for grandparents!), and there were tons of dogs. Like everyone else has said, it is a great short & easy family hike.
Easy paved trail as well as dirt trails.
it was a nice short hike. We also went up and back the Semi trail which was a nice river walk. The basin is great for families and has places to splash around.
This place was beautiful. Easy hike
Almost gave this a two star because it pales in comparison to the "big" hikes but we did this after moosilauke and for an end of day diversion it was ok. Crowded with kids including one girl who screamed at the sight of our dog. Still the short hike took us to a pretty waterfall spot.
A nice, easy, well traveled trail leading to beautiful falls! Took our kids (3 & 8) and each did very well with little assistance needed. Lots of great spots to take pictures and rest along the way next to the river. We went as far as Kinsman's Falls, but wound up following an old trail after that which left our boots very muddy! After deciding to head back, we realized that the sign marked "trail" with the arrow was actually pointing across the river and not in the trail we took. Some fun, easy rock hopping brings you to a well traveled trail on the opposite bank. We very much hope to return on the correct trail soon to see the second set of falls on our way to Lonesome Lake! Really fun, family friendly hike!
Very scenic following a cascading stream. We had to turn around towards the end as the trail crossed the stream. It was running to high from downpours the previous night to safely cross.
fun little hike, did it with the family, kids 7-14yrs, some rocks for them to hike, lots of creeks, the basin is beautiful
Loved the scenery but the trail follows 93 so you see and hear the traffic.
Very scenic nature hike. Babbling running water.
