Amazing views, if you don't mind the continuous steep inclines for almost two miles. Once you reach the bench at around mile 2, you'll be rewarding with breathtaking views of the entire lake. Worth the climb
Right next to the Ponderosa where Bonanza was filmed. Shuttled from Hyatt to base of trailhead. Mostly uphill. Going up left hand mountains right side drop off. First time using our trekking poles and hydration packs. Lots of bike riders.
Great trail even if you are afraid of heights. Wide trail most of the way up.
Great trail on a nice day, views are amazing
Great views of the lake. Busy trail later in the day. Steep uphill but totally worth the work for the views.
The best hike I've ever done
Fairly challenging uphill climb the whole time, with much of the path made up of loose dirt/gravel, and not much shade until about halfway up the hike, and even then it's not much. You also have lots of mountain bicyclists racing down the hill, so you have to be aware of your surroundings to not get run over. But all that said, there are lots of great views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains for about the first two-thirds of the hike. Beyond that, there are nice trees and foliage to look at, but not much in the way of views the higher/closer you get to Incline Flume Trail that intersects with the trail.
Excellent workout ... Mainly uphill climbing the whole way !! Beautiful views
Fun easy hike!
Great trail for the family!
Beautiful trail and view. Take the side trail on the left to see the monkey rock.
We hiked Tunnel Creek to Marlette Lake via the Flume trail. It was long but the views were spectacular.
Views are incredible! Don't have to go far to see the most beautiful views of the lake. The trail is very well kept for a nice moderate level hike. Have to pay a dollar at the gate, not sure why? Still very nice hike!!
