Fire Ecology Trail is a 1.2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Las Vegas, Nevada that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Las Vegas: Travel ten miles west along State Route 159. Once at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center take the paved road south. Next take the first turning on your right and continue along road until the Pine Creek car park.
Start at the Pine Creek trail head, walk down and find a sign that Marks the Fire Ecology trail head. This should be easy to find as pine trees are visible.
Super easy to walk.
As you go deeper into the area, water flows in the spring and it is a good place to cool down under the pines.
There was some flowing water and tadpoles down the Fire Ecology Trail; and a picnic bench under a huge pine. The Fire Ecology Trail is confusing and not well marked, that is why I rate it 4 stars but worth it is the diversion.
If you get "lost" just follow a path north and join up with the Pine Creek trail
