West Papio Trail - South is a 17.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Bellevue, NE that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

The 7-mile trail begins behind the Culver's (3602 Raynor Parkway, Bellevue, NE). There is plenty of parking. This south segment of the West Papio Trail offers wide vistas of green fields, forest, parks, Eagle Hills Golf Course, the Berry Farm, and several office parks. It follows the Papio Creek to the west and passes by Halleck Park. At 96th Street, it turns to the north and continues for 1 mile. At this point, there are other neighborhood trails, namely one to the east that connects with Schwer Park, but the West Papio ends here.
This is a well-maintained paved trail that connects Bellevue with Papillion. It starts at the Culver's on 36th Street (by Twin Creek Theaters) and heads west paralleling Hwy 370 to the south and following Papillion Creek. It is very open and scenic and passes a golf course about halfway down. The trail includes underpasses so you don't have to cross busy streets. It also passes by several parks including Halleck and a large city park. On the west end, you can go south to hook up with Walnut Creek Recreation Area or north to Schwer Park. In general, there is lots to see!
