Easy, paved trail, great for stroll or run... Waterfall is worth it at the end. Plenty of easy exploring to do around the area
This is a short hike with barely over 300 feet of elevation gain. The trail is paved all the way to the falls and is wheelchair accessible. Great hike for all ages and abilities. You can get more details and photos here: www.montanatrailbriefs.com/hikes/palisade-falls
Nice easy paved trail. Can go all the way to the waterfall if you choose to.
Nice easy hike.
Very easy (paved) hike, and the waterfall is gorgeous.
A great family trail to just get out and enjoy the beauty of Hyalite Canyon.
Great hike for young children and beginners. Leads up to a beautiful waterfall. I was able to bring my 3 year old who walked and newborn in a stroller.
The falls are pretty, but other than that not too special. Definitely heavily trafficked.
The falls are GORGEOUS! Easy hike, but very pretty. Plus we saw a pika!!!!
Quick little walk (I wouldn't even call it a hike) on a trail that is basically paved. Pretty area, probably great with kids. I like to go here late in the evening, walk, then have a picnic as the sun sets in the late summer hours.
Super easy and light
It was beautiful. We are inexperienced hikers and had our 5 & 6 year olds with us so the ice gave us some problems but it was hysterical most of the time. I think it will be a whole new adventure to hike it when it's not icy.
Went Jan. 30th... even more beautiful in the winter. Snow was packed down enough that it was a simple walk in for those that are in even just decent shape. The frozen falls are gorgeous and we got to see people climbing it as well. The road leading to the trailhead is closed, but an easy under a mile walk down, definitely worth it.
Great trail, not too steep. Handicap accessible and the whole trail is paved. However, it is fairly iced over now. A lot of exploring is available behind the waterfall.
Awesome. Early morning had the trail to ourselves. First walk for our friends from Fla, was a good gauge to see how altitude would effect them. Nice spots in stream for our dogs to cool off.
