One of the best hikes in the Bitterroot if you want a bit longer hike.
It is a very nice hike.
Fun trail with a couple of streams to cross. Nice tree/shade covering. Hiked to the bridge and back. Brought children ages ranging from 4 years old to older teens. Did just fine.
loved the creeks running in and out of the trail. great for our dogs to play in. beautiful views.
TeePee Rock is about 5 miles in and worth the hike. A lot of water to cross in early spring...bring extra socks ❤️
The first four miles are great for beginners, children, pets, and all. The full hike up to the lake is a good bit more strenuous and I believe covers a total of eight miles and several thousand feet of elevation. If you are wanting to hike up to the lake, be prepared for a good hike. The lake and its ambient scenery is gorgeous and well worth the hike if you are physically capable of making it.
