1.5 miles from Hillsboro. On Hillsboro Victoria Road
pretty once you get over all the trash. however lots of trash to get through
Great trail! Our dogs loved d it!
Karen and I were invited on an end of year hike with some of my sister's neighbors. Its an annual event for this group of friends and we were fortunate enough to get the invite. So we headed to Victoria Glades Conservation Area just south of Hillsboro, Mo. to meet up with the group.
After a little mishap on finding the trailhead, the group quickly assembled and 17 of us headed out for the 2.2 mile Victoria Glades Trail. The trailhead parking lot actually sits accros the road from the actual trail, and quickly climbs the hill and ridges of the property.
The trail was not tough, but due to the high temps and ground thaw, there was plenty of mud and slick spots. We went clockwise on the trail, and there was not much scenery on the trail until about 1-1/2 miles in to the hike when we actually saw some of the glades. The last 1/2 mile of the hike was pretty cool, as this was through the predominate glade area on the property.
All in all, it was not our fastest time hiking, but it was a great day to be out hiking with good people. Not a bad way to ring out 2016.

beautiful place to see wildflowers in spring and summer!
Great trail to hike with wife and my dogs. A few hills and nice scenery
Pretty Hike. A initial climb then smooth sailing. Great view up at top and again on backside. You want to cross the road from the parking lot to main trail. There is a trail on the parking lot side but it just ends in the middle of the woods. You can explore around on both sides of road.
