Great starter hike!!! Plus some yoga poses!
Great trails for people of all abilities.
I really enjoyed the variety this trail offers: creek bed, asphalt, hiking, steep hills, river view, and several bluffs. Some areas you can hear the highway, but only a small part of hike. It is a short loop, but did it 3x and got a great workout. Mostly shaded AND there's indoor bathrooms! I couldn't ask for more from a place just a few miles from a heavily populated community. It's a great get away close to home.
Outer loop to the right from Emmenegger entrance can be challenging.
Great trail that is well maintained.
Beautiful park but you get a lot of noise from the interstate.
Great park - hiking the west side puts you up high with a nice overlook of the valley to the west. Friendly people and leased dogs were on the trail today. Signs say no bikes allowed - $110 fine for fist offense.
side trail near powder valley trail (which is preferred); a change of pace for folks who often walk Powder Valley, but definitely not a replacement of PV.
Great trail located centrally in St. Louis county. The trail has a short paved path but several off shoot trails that will take you to a bluff that overlooks Fenton. There's another offshoot trail that takes you on some bluffs overlooking highway 270, there's also a lower trail that you walk along the river.. I especially like this trail as it is so close to home, if I want to hike a trail and don't want to have to drive too far.
Being right on the river was what we really enjoy
ed about this trail. Easy trail.
Easy trail and was very nice. The first portion is a paved loop that leads to longer packed earth trail loop. The packed packed earth trailhead can be difficult to spot so keep an eye out. Short and easy. I go counter clockwise to save the Meramec river overlook for last. My dog enjoys a swim in the river near the end of the trail.
Overall this trail was easy... Nice opportunity to get out with the family. The trail was very clean and well maintained. Partially paved, we were able to bring our daughter in the stroller. Decent view of the river. Overall nothing special.
part asphalt trail and dirt trail. Views of Meremec river, wooded hills. Nothing special, got to stretch the legs.
