We did the Devil's Kitchen trail and it was definitely a good workout and a great place to take photos.
The park was far larger than I had anticipated and we were fortunate the welcome center was open and had maps, since neither the app or Google Maps were helpful. After spending 20 minutes analyzing the map and still doing some backtracking we finally found Devil's Kitchen (not the trail we were originally set to hike but I was tired of driving in circles).
It's really beautiful down there and I'll definitely be going back. There were cabins and camp sites everywhere which would be a great option to make a weekend out of it.

The park was amazing! Very impressed! The app however is horrible taking you directly to downtown Cassville and not Roaring river if you click "map".

Can't add much more to Jen York's great review other than be sure to stop and visit the Nature Center. Lot's of interesting wildlife exhibits here and an exhibit including things found down inside the underwater cave. I found trail guides here to the Park's hiking trials. I also saw a curious spinning vortex in the water near the awesome waterfall and where the underwater cave starts.

Gorgeous place! There is a river, bluffs, trails, overlooks, nature center, camping, and the trout hatchery. That is my favorite part! There is the most clear blue pond/lake there. You can take a short hike to overlook it, you can feed the pretty trout, and you can walk to the inside where water trickles down and the underwater cave starts. Mark twain forest is an amazing fall drive as well. There is a road to the right coming in from west that has an amazing overlook for fall time! Actually found it following the directions for "onyx cave" listed on this app as well. It's not too far down the road that takes you to. It will be on the left, an opening in the trees. Hard to miss.

Pleasant Ozark drive. Typical winding two lane state highway. Would be gorgeous for fall drive when the leaves turn.
