The trails at powder valley are great for seeing wildlife and great to do with kids.
Great trail for fall.
Love the peaceful, nature walk.
great trail for kids!
Love the tails, they make a loop. Like the center for kids to explore. Love the nature so close to home.
doesn't allow dogs
awesome trail system
I'm not that fond of paved trails, but this one has some steep areas so it's a nice workout. The forest is beautiful. The visitor's center is very nice. Much more than you would expect.
We really liked this trail. The visitor center is beautiful and it is a very quiet trail, perfect for a walk and a good conversation. Really close to the metro area too.
This is a great place for quick excerise. Path is paved. Some good inclines but it isnt a place you'd go for a nature "hike" as I like them, its more of a walk/excerise trail. It is not wild enough to be considered a hike as I prefer but still beautiful.
Three paved trails. All fairly short. It has a great visitor center. This is a park I love bringing my 5 year old.
I absolutely love this trail because it is paved and completely shaded! It's a great place to go to take a break from the sun and get a good walk in. It is very steep in many areas, it gets your heart rate up without a doubt. There are three separate trails. All three are relatively short. There is a nice nature center to look at too. Ladies, you can feel very safe here. Nice wooded trails without the worry if anything! Enjoy!
This trail is very beautiful. I felt like I was back in the Smokey Mountains. It has some steep spots but is all paved. There are benches as well as look out spots throughout the trail. You will see a lot of deer and wildlife up close and they are not scared easily.
Beautiful area with a wide variety of trees. The bridge between bench 8 and 9 on the longest trail is a wonderful little chipmunk village!
Powder Valley is a great place to get outside, get some fresh air and exercise near Kirkwood. As stated in other reviews, the trails are paved and you can often hear the drone of traffic from the highway but it's heavily wooded and a lot of up and down. It sure beats going to the gym and hitting the treadmill and elliptical!
Paved trails with some fairly steep sections to add a bit of challenge.
Near a highway interchange but you can only hear it occasionally.
The paths are paved and wander through the trees in a pleasant walk. The trees and streams are close to the trail and wildlife seems to be used to people being around. There are a few steep sections but not difficult.
