Long Ridge Conservation Area is a 3.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Sullivan, Missouri that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is rated as moderate offers a number of activity options. Horses are also able to use this trail.
This is a triple loop and linear trail. The north (Blue) loop is a bit more rugged. The Yellow trail is a linear trail the leads to the southern two loops. Half of the yellow trail is still rugged, then it gets flatter and easier. The southern loops, the red and green loops, are flatter and somewhat sandy. The southern part of the trail would, I think, be easier for newer hikers and hikers with kids. The northern loop is more interesting for horseback riding.
Not for kids, should not be rated easy.
Rough to say the least. 2 1/2 mile loop with washout and tree limbs across the trail. It is lots of downhill with switchbacks, and finishes with a hill climb that is tough. No other people on the trail and it is isolated.
