This trail will always have a special place in my heart, as i started riding a again a year ago. Bought myself a schwinn from wal-mart and took off on this trail. It is a very nice trail. If you choose you can go all the way around the block up the murder hill you can see from hwy 1 then around the wal-mart down the hill and then bsck to entrance or trail head. Love this place, nice and close to my home and about the right lenght for a after work evening ride.
Love to run/walk this trail
Nice paved trail for walking or running. It's all paved so no dirt trails.
The loop is longer when combined with concrete trail across the road. Several trails look to go on outside of this loop. This is an all paved trail, no dirt, etc. Good walking/biking trail.
My review is for the newer trail on the other side of the road. It's about four miles out and back, not a loop. I have never been on the trail when I haven't seen some sort of wildlife. It winds through the woods and follows the creek. It's one of my favorite trails to take my dog on for a walk.
I wouldn't qualify this as a trail. It's just a 1 mile path around a very busy park full of kids playing various games. It's an okay place if you live close by and want to go for a run/walk; otherwise I wouldn't waste my time going there. Nothing special. There are some trails into the woods, but they are not well kept (really overgrown) so I didn't adventure too far.
Great 1 mile trail. Part sun, part shade, and a nice little section that goes through the woods. Lots of dog-walkers, runners, and always other activities to view; tennis, basketball, baseball/softball, playground, soccer, and football. Perfect for little kids, as well. You can explore the creek bed nestled behind the trail.
This asphalt paved trail is indeed 1mile, but is accompanied by another concrete trail which is across the road from the main HappyRock park baseball field area. I'll have to check the distance next time, but the concrete trail seems longer than the asphalt one, and I'd say its a bit nicer since it meanders through the woods, over a small bridge, etc. This trail is a great way to add some variety and/or distance to the 1Mile HappyRock loop, which can get a bit monotonous after a number of times. BAREFOOT runners, both these trails are great since they are usually clean of debris. Hikers/runners, to reiterate, these are both paved trails, not dirt, which may/may not be your cup of tea.
Was a nice easy trail. Lots of walkers, a few bikers, and lots of dog-walkers and kids. I will be using this trail lots!
