A beautiful canyon view of a roaring river. This is a beautiful stroll through some of the best views in the ozarks. This trail is only open until 3pm daily due to eagles roosting in the area.

This is a 2.75 mile hike. We have hiked it many times. Very peaceful and enjoyable. Dog friendly (on leash). We have seen many eagles while hiking there. Note during nesting scene this trail closes at 3:00 pm .

Three trails in a day. Roaring river is a very nice park. I'll be back when winter gets here.

Great, unimproved trail. We took the four year old and he was able to do most of it by himself. It is very steep and strenuous in places.

Just did the trail again with my sister. Nice stroll. Some rock formations. Average hike in general. Great trout fishing in the park.

Directions: As you come into the park on 112, follow Hwy F to campground 2. Go all the way thru the campground and it will take you to a short gravel road that will have the trail head.
The trial does not close at 3pm. That is only in the winter months while the eagles are in the park. But they do migrate in for the winter.
Good hike along Roaring River, then good climb to the nesting ground. Best hike in the park, but you do not get the crowds on the trails that start around the hatchery.

Took a break from fishing and hiked the trail in the afternoon to stretch my legs. Roaring River is a great park. This and other trails makes it well rounded. This trail is my least favorite there. Good for kids. Roaring River State Park has fee camping from tent to RV with showers and other amenities.
