Mount Josephine Lookout TowerTrail is a 2.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Grand Portage, Minnesota that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Hiking Mt. Josephine should not be rated "moderate"; I agree w/Best North Shore's rating & description:
"This rough and challenging trail has the steepest climb—and the most dramatic view—on the North Shore.
Difficulty: difficult. Best for experienced hikers with stamina and the ability to route-find on unmaintained trails. The trail climbs 600 feet in just over a half mile—perhaps the steepest climb on the North Shore.
Trailhead facilities: none"
