Ella Sharp Singletrack is a 1.4 mile loop trail located near Jackson, MI and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for mountain biking and is accessible from April until October.
We found the trails by pure luck since everything is poorly marked. A lot of fun once we got going but a bit confusing. The alltrails address is incorrect as well so we got lost going there.
There are a series of trails throughout the park and, since I've been away, have had some nice bright yellow trailhead signs put up. If you're a hard-core rider, none of these tails will be much more than a warmup. For those with...At best...mediocre skills like I have, the trails are are great exercise run with some elements to improve your skills. An added bonus is that no trail is more than ~1.5 mile loop so if you have an irreparable equipment failure it's not much of a walk out!
I gave it a low ranking for multiple reasons. Before I get to them alltrails gives the wrong location for this trail, it is located in Ella Sharp Park at the southern end of Jackson. First there are no markings or signs to where the trail is even located. Once you find the trail and get into it there are no markers telling you which way to go. Normally this wouldn't be a huge deal except that the trail is compacted into a small area and crosses over itself in several places. It's hard to tell which way you should be going because there is nothing telling you where you should be going. I'm pretty sure I back tracked over areas I had already ridden. Also there is no maintainance on the trail it's very narrow and has no flow. Not sure if I will try and ride it again or not.
has both easy and intermediate trails. As a beginner this spot is perfect to make your skills better and just have fun. Some spots can be quite challenging which i enjoyed very much.
